Emotion x Color

Does feeling blue have anything to do with the color blue?

This is a project for my Advanced New Media class, inspired by my Nonverbal Communication class. The goal is to explore the relationship between color and our perception of emotions.

There are six universal emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, disgust, surprise, fear. Each emotion is paired it with a color background that people tend to associate with. i.e. sadenss with blue, anger with red, fear with green, disgust with yellow, etc.

Can you identify the emotion in each photograph below? Notice that some models covered half of their face to make your decoding more fun and challenging.
